McDonald’s ‘Festive Wins’ Faux OOH Campaign

Unwrapping Christmas early with McDonald’s

McDonald’s had challenged us to launch Christmas in October and for it to stand out from the crowd. The highlight was to get across the gifting aspect of the promotion being that items were 99p for the month of December. At this time faux out of home animations/CGI adverts were becoming to be a talking point and felt that we didn’t want to miss the the novelty of this creative execution.

Working with Pebble Studio together, over a three week period we created a captivating series of ‘Faux OOH’ films to celebrate the launch. We worked closely to make sure that the campaign had a big enough impact but also without losing branding through execution.

With a
fleet of festive baubles driving through London’s Oxford Circus, a bursting McDonald’s burger box outside the Bullring in Birmingham and a celebratory Christmas crackers along the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Supporting the trumping of Christmas light switch-ons across the country, the campaign is also accompanied by a ‘Festive Wins’ calendar for digital wins.

‘Festive Wins’ is one of our most generous promotions to date, & we wanted to mark its arrival through one of the hottest trends in Marketing. We hope customers are as ready to embrace the festive season as much we are & will get involved over the next 30 days by heading to the McDonald’s app.
